NIP – What’s the big deal?
Breastfeeding in public, or as I like to call it breastfeeding. Adding the words in public makes it sound like my child and I are doing something risqué or obscene.
But it’s just breastfeeding. It’s just a normal, natural part of our day.
Because I eat lunch I don’t eat lunch in public. We have coffee we don’t have coffee in public. We breathe we don’t breathe in public.
There’s no need to cover up or wear one of those crazy baby nursing covers with built in pillow and phone holder or whatever. Just breastfeed. And as long as there are no nipple tassels involved or getting out both breasts to feed from one then WHO CARES PEOPLE!
I have had more positive comments then negative ones. I usually feed the small man in the ergo so I don’t think people would really know what I’m doing.
It’s just breastfeeding, it is the normal way for mammals to feed their young. And let’s face it people we are lactating mammals.
So don’t be ashamed to feed our babies anywhere any time. And if someone has a problem with it, well they can always eat their lunch with a blanket over their head.
